Material goes into the mill chamber through a screw conveyor. The fast-turning blades cut and grind it. Then, the powder passes the guide ring and gets into the classifier chamber. As the classification wheel rotates, air and centrifugal forces act on the powder. Bigger particles, which are heavier than the critical diameter ones, are thrown back to the mill chamber for more grinding. Smaller particles, lighter than the critical diameter, enter the cyclone separator and the dust-collecting box.
