The apparatus consists of three components: the main unit, the auxiliary unit, and the electrical control cabinet. It possesses the characteristics of air separation, being free from sieves or nets, and ensuring an even particle size of the processed substances. With a continuous production process, it is capable of handling the grinding of various items such as chemical products, food, pharmaceuticals, medicaments, cosmetics, plastics, dyes, resins, colorants, grains, and so on.

Particle size can be adjusted by varying the speed; the particle size ranges from 80 to 600 mesh. 5) A water-cooling jacket is provided around the mill chamber and bearings to cool the machine.

The material is fed into the mill chamber by a screw conveyor. In the mill chamber, it gets sheared and milled by rapidly revolving blades. Subsequently, the powder travels through the guide ring and enters the classifier chamber. When the classification wheel rotates, both air force and centrifugal force are exerted on the powder. Since the particles with diameters larger than the critical diameter (the diameter of the classification particles) possess a greater mass, they are flung back into the mill chamber for further grinding. On the other hand, the particles with diameters smaller than the critical diameter proceed to the cyclone separator and the dust-collecting box.
